ACE21 / PLAYER HANDBOOK
LEARN THE HAND.OWN YOUR MOVE.
Get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Learn the cards, the buttons, and the payouts before you take a seat.
A quick start.
You play against the dealer. A higher total wins, but anything over 21 is a bust. If you bust, the hand is lost even if the dealer later busts too.
Pick your wager
Choose 1, 2, or 5 virtual credits in practice. The separate USDC table uses 1, 2, or 5 USDC and needs a funded wallet.
Get two cards
Your cards are face up. The dealer shows one card and keeps one hidden. A dealer blackjack ends the hand before your turn.
Make your move
Hit, stand, double, or split when available. Read your total and the dealer’s visible card before choosing.
Let the dealer play
The dealer reveals the hidden card, draws until 17 or higher, and stands on all 17s, including soft 17.
Check the result
The table shows your return and net result separately. Practice updates your virtual credits; live USDC play settles through the contract.
Practice starts with 100 virtual credits. No cash prizes, wallet, or deposit. Reloading starts a fresh session.
Read your cards.
Suits do not change a card’s value. The ace is the flexible one.
Face value
A 7 counts as 7.
Always 10
Every face card counts as 10.
1 or 11
Uses 11 unless that would bust.
The ace counts as 11.
The ace becomes 1. Now it’s hard 17.
Four buttons. Your call.
All four controls stay visible. Unavailable actions are disabled with a reason. Double and split each require another wager. Keyboard controls are always ready: H hit, S stand, D double, P split.
HIT
During your turnTake another card. You can hit again if the hand is still active. Over 21 means bust.
STAND
During your turnKeep your total and finish this hand. If you have split hands, play the next one before the dealer moves.
DOUBLE
On your first two cardsAdd a wager equal to this hand’s bet. Receive exactly one more card, then automatically stand.
SPLIT
Two cards with equal valueAdd a matching wager and turn the pair into two hands. Play each hand separately.
Insurance and surrender are not offered. For decision examples, visit the basic strategy guide .
Two hands. Separate bets.
Up to four hands
You may split up to three times, creating at most four hands.
Split aces get one card
Each ace gets exactly one additional card. You cannot hit, double, or resplit those aces.
Double after a split
You can double on the first two cards of a split hand, except split aces.
Split 21 pays 1:1
An ace plus a ten-value card after a split is a regular 21, not a natural blackjack.
Read the return.
Return includes your original wager. Net result is what you gained or lost after that wager.
| Result | Return | Net |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack 3:2 · ace + ten-value card | 5 | +3 |
| Regular win 1:1 · beat the dealer | 4 | +2 |
| Push Tied hand · wager returned | 2 | 0 |
| Loss Dealer wins or you bust | 0 | −2 |
An ace and a ten-value card in your first two cards, before a split, is a natural. It beats a regular 21. If both you and the dealer have blackjack, the hand pushes.
